Sheri has a passion for mentoring and empowering others to be the best that they can be. Helping to create the Soluna Institute & Foundation has been the perfect opportunity to marry this passion with her interest in organizational behavior and her experience managing through change in corporate environments.
In blending her business background with this passion, Sheri has sought out opportunities to lead and mentor others through both the DFW American Marketing Association and the Dallas Junion Chamber of Commerce. She has been on the Board of both organizations, and is currently the co-director of the Professional Development Program for the AMA, and the Director of their new Mentor Program which she has created. As a Board Member of the DFW AMA, Sheri led teams of volunteers to plan and execute over 60 programs annually, which provided educational programs and networking opportunities for members. Success of these programs can be attributed to her ability to reach out to academic and corporate leaders in the Dallas area to provide keynote presentations, mentorship and sponsorship.
In addition to her non-profit roles, Sheri has 15 years of experience in B2B Telecom & Technology. She has worked for large and medium sized companies through some of the best and worst times in our economic history. She has first-hand experience managing teams and projects through multiple mergers and acquisitions – and through “downsizing”. She has held a broad range of roles including: Strategic Planning, Product Portfolio Optimization, Product Development for Emerging Technologies, Marketing Communications, Event Management, Sales Support and Business Development.
Sheri is currently the Director of Business Development for the Enterprise Marketing Practice at MarketSphere Consulting, which provides advisory and technology services to global marketing organizations that wish to achieve marketing operations excellence. MarketSphere has helped companies, including Walmart, Lily, Wells Fargo, and Sprint, to align marketing process, organization structure and new marketing technologies with measureable marketing strategy to improve their return on marketing investment.
Sheri is an example of what a woman (or a man) can do if she has the desire and the support to achieve success. Overcoming life’s challenges, Sheri completed her Bachelors Degree in Business Logistics from Penn State, with a Minor in Business Law, and earned her MBA in International Marketing from the University of Dallas, while raising her now 16 year old son.
